The Monte Carlo is a ball-bearing swivel base with some interesting design changes. Available in two sizes (large/medium), our bases are supplied with standard U-adaptors, stand-up springs, and the NX101 cam cleat. They are manufactured with highest quality anodized aluminium and Delrin to assure dependability, durability, and quality perfomance while carrying even the heaviest loads. The Monte Carlo features an anodized aluminium arm that is curved at the end to allow variable positioning of the cam cleat. Each yacthsmans lead line angle requirements are immediately met simply by moving the cleat to the desired position on the arm. In addition, ballbearings are repositioned within the swivel base, eliminating contact between the base interior and the arm. Metal-metal friction is averted by a cushion of Delrin, and the Monte Carlo swivels more smoothly and easily, and for longer. Metal stops prevent the line from fouling on itself while giving the yacthsman 240 degrees of flexibility. The large Monte Carlo (NX402) is designed to accept blocks of up to 3 inches diameter (76 mm), while the medium (NX401) accepts those sized to 2.25 inches (60 mm). Both offer a smoothness of perfomance, a strength and a durability that has to be tried to be believed. |
